Monica Freiburger

Donor Eligibility Manager, BA, CEBT

Monica attended Coe College and majored in Biology. She began working for the Iowa Lions Eye Bank as a part time tissue recovery technician in June 2008. She became a full time Laboratory Technician in May of 2011. In 2014 Monica was awarded the Jachin Misko Memorial Scholarship for Technical Advancement in Eye Banking which allowed her to attend the Technician Education Seminar. In the summer of 2014 she became CEBT certified. Monica is responsible for the coordination and support of the daily operations of the lab.

I have to say 2 things, family and my comfy sweatpants

Salt and vinegar kettle chips
What is your favorite thing to do?
Have friends over to bbq and have game night
What is your favorite movie?
Serendipity. I've probably seen that movie 50 times

Do No Harm by Henry Marsh
What type of music do you listen to?
I am pretty versatile but if I have control of the station it is usually on country
If you could invite one famous person to dinner who would it be? (Can be anyone that ever lived)

What is your dream vacation destination and why?
Norway. We had 2 foreign exchange students from there and I have been intriqued with the country ever since
